A Night to Remember at Rum Chata's Unusual Wreath Party
Photos by Mauricio J. Calero
This past Tuesday, I had the pleasure of DJing at a truly unique and vibrant event – Rum Chata's Unusual Wreath Party at Miss Likklemores in Toronto. Hosted by the charismatic Tyrone Edwards, the night was filled with warmth, creativity, and, of course, incredible music and cocktails. The highlight of the evening was a wreath-making workshop led by the talented Brock Stacey, who helped guests channel their creativity and get into the holiday spirit with beautiful custom wreaths.
As the DJ for the night, I curated a mix designed to be as eclectic and colorful as the event itself. My playlist was a melting pot of soca, Latin, afrobeats, and amapiano – a blend I knew would resonate with the diverse energy in the room. The vibe was electric as everyone danced, mingled, and crafted their wreaths with musical vibes all around.
I'm thrilled to share that I recorded my mix live that night, capturing the essence of this unforgettable event. The mix will be available on both my YouTube and SoundCloud channels, so you can relive the night or experience it for the first time. Whether you're a fan of Soca, Latin music, Afrobeats, or Amapiano, this mix will transport you straight into the heart of Rum Chata's Unusual Wreath Party.
Check out the photos below to catch a glimpse of the night's highlights, and be sure to listen to the mix! Stay tuned for more events and mixes, and have an amazing holiday season!
