just got some new music from my amazing friend and singer jazzy in LA and im really excited to share it with you.
jazzy has been on her grind ever since i stumbled on her myspace page three years ago. her first album “oh jazzy” got crazy rotation and the song “make up” even made it into a couple toronto DJs hands and got some spins. she’s even been through some unsigned artists nigthmares where some of her songs that were uploaded online were miscredited for keri hilson and rihanna’s work. and she doesnt even sound like them!!!! since then jazzy, has been on the glow in the dark tour providing background vocals for melanie fiona and was saught out by jamie foxx for her amazing songwriting skills and was signed to foxx’s “foxx/king” publishing company.
currently, jazzy has been in the studio collaborating with a number of songwriters/producers like, Jdoe (Danity Kane, Busta Rhymes), Lonny Bereal (Jamie Foxx, Kelly Rowland, Tank) and Rob Holladay (Diddy, Young Berg) working on material for Letoya Luckett’s latest album, and a host of other projects. She also has been in the studio with Busta Rhymes’ for his upcoming album, all while working with writing partner Bobbie Cheri-Gobert, putting the finishing touches on her latest project, BEAUTY AND THE BEAT.
below is a *new* song from that project. just for the record is a sassy club opener produced by rob halliday (who produced dirty money’s love come come down) about checking your sigificant other on their ‘comfortable ways’ lol. vocally well arranged and totally singable, jazzy never seems to disappoint for the ladies.
