I’ve always said you have to spend money in order to make money.
The remix project have taken that concept and flipped it so we can all give back to our communities.
I never had the opportunity to participate in urban arts programs such as fresh arts like some toronto veterans [kardinal offishall, jully black, saukrates, lil' x] . I was fortunate enough to have parents who kept me busy with piano & steeldrum lessons and netball and track and field practices. Not all of us had that privilege growing up.
10+ years later the remix project was founded to foster and empower youth with exceptional talent and i have sat back and watched students like my wonder kid karla moy, and chantle beeso take their entrepreneurial instincts and do amazing things with them.
So it was a no brainer when I was asked to participate in the Remix Project Fundraiser that is taking place on June 11th @ Circa:

yes i do a lot of talking with my hands, but i want you to UNDERSTAAAAANNNND.
